Field Operations

Field Operations employees are boots on the ground and are vital to ensuring the projects are installed to the customers satisfaction following INDOT or other Owner standards and specifications. Specializing in traffic safety and pavement markings on road projects, these challenging positions offer a career in a highly specialized field. From setting up intricate traffic control configurations to driving (CDL-A required) or operating specialized pavement marking application/removal equipment, our field operations employees enjoy varied responsibilities with many opportunities for advancement. 

While we are always looking for experienced employees, we offer on-the- job training combined with opportunities for union laborers apprentice training. GridLock Traffic Systems, Inc. is signatory to the Laborer’s International Union of North America. Our field operations employees are paid onsite Laborers Union wages and are eligible for benefits through the Laborers Union. Additional benefits include an employer matching 401K and the opportunity for paid holidays and vacations. Road construction season is typically April – December but we accept applications year-round. All of our field operations employees are required to drive our vehicles so a current Motor Vehicle Record MUST be submitted with your application or resume. You can purchase a current MVR through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles website. A chauffeur’s license must be obtained prior to employment. CDL-A holders are encouraged to apply.
